What’s great?
The MyState Bank Glide Account is flexible and innovative. You can use its ultra-smart tech to see real-time breakdowns of your spending habits and savings goals at the tap of a button. We’ll show you all the features so you can decide if it’s the right card for you.
Advanced Personalised Banking
One of the standout features of the MyState Bank Glide Account is its ultra-smart app and internet banking portal. If you prefer to track your spending and savings closely, you’ll love MyState’s intuitive accounting technology. The app features at-a-glance cashflow summaries of how much you’ve spent across several categories. It reminds you of upcoming bills and sends notifications if your balance may not cover expected expenses.
You can also set up auto-saving commands to hit your goals faster. Your app will use your day-to-day account activity to automatically move extra money into your savings account.
MyState describes its app as your own personal cheerleader, actively encouraging you to spend smarter and save more.
No Fees Every Day
You won’t pay any ongoing fees with a MyState Bank Glide Account. There are $0 monthly account keeping fees, $0 everyday transaction fees, and $0 fees for ATM withdrawals. Other fees and charges may apply, however. For instance, a $5 overdraw fee, and a $5 charge if a BPAY payment is rejected.
Earn up to 5.00% p.a. variable interest
Boost your savings by earning up to 5.00% p.a. variable interest on balances up to $250,000 when you open a Bonus Saver Account and link it with your Glide account. To be eligible for the bonus, you have to deposit at least $20 into your Bonus Saver each month and make 5 transactions with your Glide account.
Unlimited No Fee Access to Your Money
Get unlimited access to your money without fees through more than 10,000 ATMs across Australia (taking note that some ATM providers may charge a fee, which you can avoid by choosing large banks).
The MyState Glide Visa Debit Card syncs with Apple Pay, Google Pay, Samsung Pay, Fitbit Pay, Garmin Pay, PayID and Osko. It also features its stellar app, desktop and phone banking facilities, BPAY® and EFTPOS.
Easy and Fast Application
MyState Bank says it takes around 5 to 7 minutes to complete their easy online application. Your account will be set up immediately, and your Visa Debit Card will be sent in the mail.
What’s worth considering?
Though this is a no-fee everyday account, it’s worth noting that non-MyState Bank ATM providers may charge an ATM Operator Fee for withdrawals or balance inquiries. Foreign currency conversion fees are charged at 3% of the amount per transaction. It’s always best to check the small print when applying for a new account.
Why should you choose it?
The MyState Bank Glide Account is ideal if you want free, easy banking with a lot of techy bells and whistles. The ability to bump up your interest-earning to 5.00% with the Bonus Saver Account is a big win if savings is one of your goals.
Being compatible with a huge range of digital wallets and wearables, and the intuitive online banking systems (including integration with Osko and PayID) make the Glide Account and debit card one of the easiest accounts to pay and receive money everyday, hassle-free.

March 10, 2023Is there a minimum amount to keep the slide account open ? Also what happens if you have more than $250.000 in the account
admin
March 13, 2023Hi Norma, I looked into this for you however there’s no mention that you need to have a maintaining balance to keep your MyState Glide account open. However, it’s crucial that your account has enough funds to cover any future-dated or recurring payments that you’ve scheduled. If you have more than $250,000 in your account, then any balances over that are not guaranteed by the government if MyState collapses.

with the supplied debit card?
admin
September 29, 2022Hi John, yes you can withdraw from any ATM. About the fee, I dug into this for you and see that Woolworths and Coles are not included in the list of bank ATM networks that do not charge withdrawal fees to MyState bank cardholders. You can check this link for the list.
